CAR T-Cell Therapy

We offer FDA-approved CAR T-cell therapy in an outpatient setting. CAR T-cell therapy is a personalized treatment that uses a patient’s own immune system to target and destroy cancer cells. This innovative therapy has shown promising results for certain blood cancers, including lymphoma, leukemia, and multiple myeloma.

What Is CAR T-Cell Therapy?

CAR T-cell therapy, or chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy, is a type of immunotherapy designed to help the body recognize and attack cancer cells more effectively.

During treatment:

  • A patient’s T cells are collected from their blood
  • The cells are specially engineered in a laboratory to recognize cancer cells
  • The modified T cells are returned to the patient through infusion
  • Once inside the body, the CAR T cells seek out and attack cancer cells

Unlike traditional chemotherapy, CAR T-cell therapy is highly targeted and uses the body’s own immune system to fight cancer.

Conditions CAR T-Cell Therapy May Treat

CAR T-cell therapy may be recommended for patients with certain relapsed or refractory blood cancers, including:

  • Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL)
  • Small lymphocytic lymphoma
  • Marginal zone lymphoma
  • Mantle cell lymphoma
  • Follicular lymphoma
  • Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)
  • Chronic lymphocytic leukemia
  • Multiple myeloma
  • Other eligible hematologic malignancies

Our oncology team works closely with each patient to determine whether CAR T-cell therapy is an appropriate treatment option.
